Consultations given by Japanese
doctors
|

| Consultations at the clinic are with one of five London
Iryo Centre’s Japanese doctors. Our doctors are
primarily GPs, but each specialises in other areas of
medicine, such as paediatrics and endoscopy. All doctors
are fully accustomed to Japanese health screening, and
are particularly acute to the medical differences between
Japanese physiology and treatments. |

24 hour emergency service voice-bank
system
|
|
|
| A 24 hour emergency voice-bank system operates after
the normal consultation hours of the clinic. Access
to the voice-bank system is by dialling 020 8202 7272,
you will be transferred to the emergency paging service.
Leave your name, telephone number and a brief description
of the urgent problem and the London Iryo Centre duty
doctor will call you back within 10 minutes to discuss
what course of action to take. Home visits can be arranged. |

Specialist service
|
|
|
| Consultant services are available at the clinic in
the areas of gastroenterology, cardiology, urology,
gynaecology, paediatrics, obstetrics, ENT and psychology
from Japanese or English speaking Consultants. English
speaking Consultants have Japanese medical staff available
to translate. |

|
Referral
|
|
|
Emergency admissions can be arranged immediately at
either NHS or private hospitals. Appropriate referrals
can also be arranged to renowned hospitals such as the
Wellington or Portland hospital.
Referral to BUPA hospitals, which are the largest provider
of private health care in the UK is also possible. |

|
Health screening service
|
|
|
| The London Iryo Centre provides the health screening
facility for barium meal and GI endoscopy specifically
aimed at the early detection of stomach cancer. Additionally
we offer Japanese style health checks. The Health Screening
Department is equipped with ultrasound, fluoroscopy
and state of the art digitalised x-ray equipment. |

Mid-wife service
|
|
|
| In addition to GP obstetric services the clinic has
a Japanese mid-wife assisting with pre and post natal
care, and hosting educational clinics for expecting
and new parents. |

|
Vaccination service
|
|
|
| Vaccination service or advice is available for infants,
travellers and any adults who need to have additional
vaccinations such as Tetanus, Hepatitis B. Influenza
vaccination is available from autumn to winter. |

Pharmacy
|
|
|
| The clinic has its own in-house pharmacy, which provides
patients with their prescribed treatments. |
|
 |
|
|
|
Dentistry service
|
|
|
| An English speaking dentist assisted by a Japanese
Dental Hygienist offer dental check-ups and treatment. |
